Well, I had my first photo shoot in the new studio. Emily, who has worked with me before, came over and let me play around with the light. She is sooo pretty and a really lovely person.
We started out in the natural light area of the studio.
Her eyes look amazing.
The seating area with a view of the large natural light shooting area beyond.
I call this corner my light pocket.
Next we moved onto some studio lighting. The studio is 2700 square feet so there is a lot of room! I set up a studio lighting area on “The Dark Side”
, AKA the opposite end of the room from the windows. If there is one thing I want to convey to my clients this year it is that studio lighting does not have to equal old school and boring!
Finally we headed outside for some sunshine. The studio is surrounded by plenty of great urban shooting areas. Emily rocked a retro look here which I absolutely love!
The studio is located on the 3rd floor of the Heritage Building (middle row of windows) above Benjamin Beetle clothing.
