Yay! I am so excited to start photographing senior portraits for the class of 2014. First up. . .Slippery Rock High School student Heather who braved the unusually cold May weather for her photo session. I am in love with her smile, her beautiful long hair, and the wonderful clothing choices she made. The studio is still under construction, but we had some fun doing part of the shoot in one of the nearby alleys.
Coral and turquoise is such a great combo. Notice how the wind cooperated for this shot? It doesn’t always work out that way, but I sure love it when it does.
Sunflare like this makes me so happy!
I told Heather: I want you to pose in this pocket of light because it is magical. Later, one of her friends said she looked like a forest fairy.
Isn’t this wall awesome? It’s very close to the new studio. There are many great places for urban senior portraits right around the studio.
Everything about this works. At the beginning of each session, I go through all the clothing with my clients and then formulate a plan for where we are going to wear each outfit. As soon as I saw Heather’s shirt, I knew this location would be perfect.
If you are thinking about senior portraits , I highly recommend you schedule them before the peak heat of summer. July can be very humid. June is filling up fast.
