Julia is one of my wonderful seniors from a few years ago. She came to visit me as the new studio space and we shot a few images to demonstrate some of the features of studio. Many of the seniors I work with are hesitant to have part of their shoot in the studio. They worry that studio shoots= old school or boring. But take time to look through any top fashion magazine and you will see many, many images shot in studios. I am fortunate that my studio has both a large natural light shooting area with interesting architecture, as well as an area I can use for studio lighting. Studio can be modern, fun, and fresh! I encourage all of my seniors to shoot at least part of their session at the studio. And if you happen to need a traditional picture for the yearbook or to give to your grandparents, we can accomplish that as well.
My sweet husband found this vintage couch and had it repaired for me.
The studio ceilings are very high and perfect for dance portraits.
Julia is so graceful. I love this image of her in the window.
