Pittsburgh Photographer: First Shoot in the New Studio

Monday, May 27th, 2013

Well, I had my first photo shoot in the new studio. Emily, who has worked with me before, came over and let me play around with the light. She is sooo pretty and a really lovely person.

We started out in the natural light area of the studio.

Next we moved onto some studio lighting. The studio is 2700 square feet so there is a lot of room! I set up a studio lighting area on “The Dark Side” , AKA the opposite end of the room from the windows. If there is one thing I want to convey to my clients this year it is that studio lighting does not have to equal old school and boring!

Finally we headed outside for some sunshine. The studio is surrounded by plenty of great urban shooting areas. Emily rocked a retro look here which I absolutely love!

The studio is located on the 3rd floor of the Heritage Building (middle row of windows) above Benjamin Beetle clothing.

Molly, Vintage Inspired Fashion Shoot

Monday, September 5th, 2011

A few months ago, I had a couple of ideas for shoots that I wanted to try out. Molly contacted me about being a model and since I had worked with her before doing senior portraits, I knew she would be perfect for what I had in mind. We put our heads together and came up with a bunch of ideas to try out! In the end, it RAINED all day the day of the shoot and we had to scrap some ideas and modify some others. Maybe it was meant to be. Molly looked so amazing with the red umbrella! Click on the thumbnails to see the images larger.
