Erin: Senior Portraits, Class of 2011
Thursday, July 15th, 2010

So the busier I get the less I blog. This is an adorable couple of siblings from a few weeks ago. Their mom wanted to capture them being themselves rather than “posed” for portraits. And it’s a good thing too. They had tons of energy and were far more intersted in bugs, fish, and dirt than me (honestly, can you blame them?) We set them loose in the creek while I followed along behind. I am definitely the kind of photographer that does not mind slogging through mud and dirt to get the shot, although I must confess a tiny big of apprehension about snakes! Every time we encountered tall grass I would stomp up and down a few times to scare them off. I have no idea if this actually frightens snakes, but I am sure it might have amused them?
Natalie and I were beginning to think her session would never happen. She was originally scheduled for June, but we got rained out. So we rescheduled for July 21. Rained out again. We rescheduled for this morning and of course I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of what else but a torrential downpour! I was certain the session would not take place today, but when I checked the radar at 6am I was surprised to see a small window of opportunity. We decided to give it a try and I would like to say the weather cooperated, but we did in fact get rained on more than once. However, Natalie’s beautiful smile and amazing blue eyes brought a bit of sunshine to the session. Natalie, I am so glad I finally got to meet you in person. Enjoy your sneak peek!
