Kayla and I had a fun session visiting some places in my home town and looking for bits and pieces of fields and flowers. During a session, I don’t need the perfect location. I just need a few good pockets of location–small areas of interesting color or texture to use as a backdrop. Many times what looks like the middle of no where, is really a patch of grass next to a parking lot! If your senior session is scheduled in the next few months, be on the look out for “pockets” we can use for your session.
Now a sneak peek of the lovely Kayla!

Sorry no pictures. Too busy to post any at the moment but hopefully over the weekend. I wanted to get the word out that I am completely booked until the final week of August. If you would like an autumn color session, the time to book is now!

I am very sick at the moment. I apologize for not responding to email or phone calls. I should be able to get back to everyone Tuesday or Wednesday.

It was a dark and stormy night. . . I sort of feel like I should begin that way! Molly, her mom, and I came very close to being rained out. Thankfully, we were able to readjust some of our plans and make it work (said in my best Tim Gunn voice). I loved Molly’s smile and enthusiasm and of course, her beautiful red hair!

I am so excited to be working with the class of 2010 (and a little sad to say goodbye to all of my wonderful 2009 seniors). Nicole is my first 2010 senior. I think I am definitely starting the year off right!

She’s beautiful with curly red hair and a lot of personality. She also has the distinction of being my very real client. So clearly she’s very special! And once a year I get the pleasure of photographing her again. Here she is the day I met her.

And now.

This little fellow was an absolute joy to work with. I’ve been trying to blog all day, but I had a such a hard time selecting images. They were all beautiful!

Just a little note to let everyone know that I will be out of touch for a few days. I am off to a session in a moment and then I have a day full of sessions tomorrow. Sunday I plan on taking off to celebrate my birthday (my birthday isn’t until Tuesday but I have work to do on Tuesday). All email and voice messages will be returned Monday, June 8 after 9AM. Have a great one!
PS. Jennifer and Kevin, your gallery will go live tonight. I will send you the info this evening.

Well, I hate to say it (because no is definitely not one of my favorite words) but June is full and I cannot take any more bookings. It’s not sorta-kinda-maybe full. It’s overflowing full. I am now booking for July and August. I will be on vacation in the middle of July (ocean breezes here I come!) and with the Independance Day holiday at the beginning of July, there isn’t a lot of open space left in that month. Some August dates have already been filled. I would encourage all high school seniors who are considering me for their senior portraits to book soon. August is traditionally my busiest month for seniors.
