Sara and Dan (e-session)

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Over the weekend I spent some time with Sara and Dan who will be getting married in a month. It’s always nice to meet couples who open up and are eager to share bits and pieces of their life with me. I swear we talked more than we took pictures! I met the kids (doggies) and learned about how they met and not even a sudden thunderstorm in the middle of the session slowed us down. Thank you for both for welcoming me to your home. I am so excited to chronicle your big day!

Favorite shot of the night. I’m sure they thought I was crazy when I told them to stand in the hallway.

Born on the Fourth of July

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

This little one will be turn a year old on the fourth of July. I’ve been photographing her since she was 9 days old (5 sessions!). Her mom and I laughed today when we remembered how she cried all through her newborn session. Today, she is about the happiest baby you can imagine. Thank you sweet girl, and your mom and dad too, for letting me be a part of your first year!

Ben and Nikki (e-session)

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

Yesterday, I traveled to the campus of beautiful Westminster Collage for an engagement session with Ben and Nikki who will be marrying this fall. They met on the campus a few years ago and their wedding will also take place on campus, so it seemed like a fitting location. I got to hear all about when they first met and see the location where they first kissed. Of course, they enjoyed reenacting the kiss as much as possible and in as many locations as possible. I would tell you how cute this all is, but I’ve almost used up the maximum number of times a photographer is allowed to say cute in one year and I’m trying to reserve a few for the wedding day.

Sisters

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

Despite the heat, I had a wonderful session this morning with two adorable sisters.

Their mom put them in the sweetest little smocked dresses.

With more than one child, and especially one that is still a preschooler, the “together” shot can be a challenge. I love this one!

My favorite arch (yes, you’ve seen it before).

School House

Friday, June 6th, 2008

I don’t have much time for landscape photography these days. My intern Kaela and I went out scoping new locations yesterday and she took me to this old school house. I just love abandoned buildings! I would have liked to gotten a wider view on this, but I was traveling light and only took one lens. So now, I have to go back. PS. The grass really is that color. I didn’t do anything to enhance it. I always feel like the grass in PA at this time of year looks so green it’s unnatural.
